I low-key follow ONE OK ROCK. Like, super low-key. My sister is the bigger fan of the two of us so she would supply me all the information and music I needed, haha! Still, I do like them a lot.
Just a short history of how I knew about them: not many people know, but I’ve been kind of a follower for quite some time now. Thanks to my avid Tenimyu days, those times scouring through the boys’ Ameblo entries, my sister chanced upon Nakayama Masei’s blog and one of his favorite bands was, well, ONE OK ROCK. She listened to their songs, liked them–and I did too. I guess you can say the rest was history. 😛
As I said, my sister’s the bigger fan; she traveled to Kuala Lumpur just to catch their Who Are You?? Who Are We?? Tour. When she came back to Manila, she told me how incredible they were and that she never regretted going there. Woah hey, they must be that good then, right?
Well, my friends. They are. And so much more.
When Pulp announced the concert, I had a mini-freakout in the office thanks to Kim for informing me about it, lol! I called up my sister and she freaked out too. We wouldn’t miss it for anything in the world! Fast-forward to the concert day, I was super excited too! (And nervous because even if I’m used to sneaking in my camera, I was scared I might get caught since it’s a Japanese concert, not to mention the trauma I experienced in Infinite Effect Manila lol. I’ve never experienced watching a Japanese concert. Thankfully, none of the bouncers caught me. *_*)
But… taking pictures is a whole different story because I hardly took any stable ones. It’s kind of similar to Epik High’s Parade in Manila with all the jumping and screaming, except ONE OK ROCK is like, 100 times the intensity because there’s the addition of doing screamo and head-banging. Other than that, because I was in the moshpit with everyone else, I had to go with the flow–all the push and pull, you know? 😛 I didn’t realize I’d gone from behind the crowd to fourth-ish row from the front. INTENSE. (It’s not that bad though. Promise!) Nevertheless, even if I was unable to take as many photos as I would normally like, I felt that it was just as important to enjoy the concert. And I did! 😀
Okay, enough of my blabbering and let’s get on with the photos.
Disclaimer: I was in VIP2 which explains the abundance on Toru and Taka. I have like… only one of Tomoya and a wee bit of Ryota. 🙁
TOMOYA BAB. He’s so sabaw. Mahari keeta! This is my only good shot of him. I’m sorry for I have sinned greatly, Dana. :'(
Then Taka was like, “This song is in Japanese.” And I swear I went deaf for a few seconds because of the screams of “YAAAAAASSSSS YAAAAAAASSSSS”. Of course I was part of that, LOL. (They sang the English equivalent of the songs in the setlist.) Turns out it was already Heartache, and oh my god I cried. Okay, maybe not like the hagulgol (T/N: bawling) type, but my face was twitching and I could feel tears in my eyes. I was too busy singing along that the tears never fell, LOL. Also everyone in the audience sang Heartache, even the Japanese bouncer in front cracked a smile. Baaawwwww. T_T
Also, Toru is unreal. I have to let you all know that, okay. He’s not human. 😐 THAT FACE. SO… BEAUTIFUL… SO PERFECT…
They all look 100000000000% better in real life. Pictures don’t do them justice. Especially Ryota. (Speaking of, Ryota’s pics are just ahead, hehe.)
Taka’s hearteu! ♥
YEP TORU’S STILL UNREAL
ASDFHGJK SCREAMS RYOTA
ISN’T HE THE CUTEST??? I CAN’T BELIEVE HIM. All that cuteness under those facial hair and abs, I can’t. T_T He does his little puffy face a lot, too. Can we also talk about how clear and beautiful his skin is? So smooth and poreless and AAAHHH.
If it isn’t obvious yet, yes, I am a convert. Ryota is bae. ♥
Everyone singing Wherever You Are was surreal. SURREAAAAAL.
ONE OK ROCK wouldn’t be possible without Pulp Live World and Amuse Inc. Thanks to them, ONE OK ROCK Live in Manila finally happened. ♥ Everything was beautiful and amazing. I couldn’t have asked for more!
(Okay maybe Liar because that’s my theme song y’all, harhar.)
PS. Don’t forget to check out Dana’s account and amazing photos of the concert on her blog! 😀
