(Belated) Merry Christmas and (advanced) Happy New Year, guys! Odd isn’t it, how I decided to recreate my blog in the last month of the year? There’s really no reason why I did this. I guess this will be my motivation to create new beginnings at the end of the year. I’ll simply be earlier than others, haha.
Alright, onto this OGS series’ last post. Photos will be from 내꺼하자 (Be Mine) to With…. In addition to the photos, I’ll also be doing a round-up at the end, including OGS in Manila’s setlist and some acknowledgements from me. 🙂 I wouldn’t have had this experience without my friends!
As you can see, I had a blast shooting 내꺼하자 (Be Mine). The lights, the sounds (LIVE BAND YOU GUYS!!!), and the dance were all a sight to behold.
Love the contrast of red and blue.
It’s like a zombie apocalypse–a very attractive zombie apocalypse. *_* Also, it still amazes me how in sync they are, as you can tell from above.
Ahh, BTD. The first song I fell for. :”) Sad it didn’t stand a chance against DBSK’s Keep Your Head Down back then. Also, justice for MBLAQ’s Cry!
Man in Love. Lots of smiley faces!
Woohyun kept directing his gazes and flying kisses at HoneyTree (a Woohyun fansite). I’m not sure if this is one of those though.
After 추격자 (The Chaser) was their encore stage. Songs included were 다시 돌아와 (Come Back Again) and Hysterie. Hysterie is my favorite Infinite song E V E R. I swore to myself that I wouldn’t shoot so I could fully appreciate their performance. I did cheat towards the end though.
After that were the boys’ short commentaries/goodbye messages! I was so bummed that it was almost over. 🙁
I just want to say that Sunggyu’s English was the only one that I understood fully, haha. I had to rewatch fancams to get what the others were saying. OTL
Aww, sweetie. ;; HoneyTree has a video of him getting teary-eyed at OGS Manila. Whoops, that’s the sound of my heart breaking to pieces (in a good way!).
Dongwoo’s birthday project that I mentioned in the first post! Y’all know the story after we wore the birthday caps and raised the papers.
Yeah, he cried. ^^; He was so overwhelmed! Here’s the video so you can see it in motion. He was so adorable when he blurted out, “Do you know my birthday?!” then he laughed with his whole body. UGH DONGWOO PLS! So precious! ;u; Both of his parents were there, too!
A moment of silence for 2Woo. T__T
After comforting Dongwoo, Woohyun went to talk to Hoya. (About what–I don’t know.)
Last song was With…. I wanted it to be Voice of My Heart just to remind myself of their massive breakdown in their first Japan tour Leaping Over. Still, this was good–maybe even better.
I’m just! Gosh, just looking through the photos gives me mixed emotions, lol! I’ll let you see for yourself.
The contrast between Woohyun’s and Sunggyu’s expressions is amazing, lol!
LOOK HOW HAPPY HE WAS?! I think he genuinely enjoyed OGS in Manila. :’( I (We) miss you already, Gyu!
Their goodbyes. ;_;
The last photo–happy Dongwoo with still teary eyes.
Alright, to summarize OGS in Manila, first here’s the setlist. Like I said before, it’s a little different here since we lacked two songs, namely Request and She’s Back.

Second, the acknowledgements and personal thoughts.
I’d like to thank Clara, my partner-in-crime for the presscon! If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to experience being a photographer for a formal event–with superstars! (Yeah, well, Infinite are superstars in my eyes, haha.) I owe you so much, girl! Nina, my concert buddy since DKFC, you’re awesome bb! Let’s go to more concerts together with Nadine. I hope we’ll still get the chance to see DBSK as five.
Dana, Beng, and Yna! They’ve been nothing but supportive in my ninja-sneaking of camera gears, lol! I think I already owe them a year’s supply of packaging tape and scissors. 😛 And Afi–girl, ever since OGS ended for me, I’ve been having a “rough” time recovering. Thanks for always being there to indulge my post-OGS woes.
My family (here comes the cheesy part lol). Though my parents sometimes question my interests in photography and concerts, they’ve been firm believers of “do what you want to do.” Of course, buying the equipment is up to me, lol. My sisters who are always, always there to encourage me and talk to me about my ventures–you’re the best.
(This photo is a repost hehe ignore the watermark!)
Is it an overstatement to say that OGS in Manila changed my life? A little, I guess. But I did begin to appreciate Infinite’s team (Woollim–seriously thank you for the live band) and I’d grown exponential feelings for all of the boys.
As for personal growth (oo, may ganun akong ganap, believe it or not), I learned that kit lens shouldn’t be underestimated. Sure, it’s small fry compared to Canon’s L series, yet when I was looking through the photos I’d taken, they weren’t too shabby. I’d disposed of a lot (lol the lens can only capture so much fast movements even with AI SERVO) but I was still left with a lot to play with. I’ve learned that it’s up to the person behind the camera and not just the equipment.
On a sidenote, since I just said that it’s up to the person behind the camera, I should believe in myself more. x_x I’ve always been hard on myself, knocking my head nearly sideways at all my flaws. New year’s resolution, perhaps?
I’d taken as much as 3000+ photos in this concert alone. At first glance it seems a lot. Heck, even I was overwhelmed at how much I’d taken. Cutting it down to a hundred-ish would take me forever. (And it did, lol.) As I’d begun uploading them though, I had thoughts of, “I should’ve shot more during this part,” and, “I missed some moments!” I guess in this digital age, you really can’t have too many shots, huh? u_u; Lesson learned. (Yeah, I’m still hard on myself. ;;)
I have a lot to learn and to experience in photography. Safe to say, ever since DKFC ended, I’d grown an insatiable addiction with concert photography. All the adrenaline and excitement in two hours (give or take) in moshpits… it’s worlds apart from just watching through the computer.
Surely in the coming 2014, I’ll venture into more things, photography-related and not alike. There’s always room for improvement and for more experiential learning. Cheers to more great concerts in the coming year!
